Climb the famous Karst Peaks and Hills
The Moon Hill (YueLiang Shan)
One of Yangshuo's most visited sight, this karst peak obtains its name from a large moon-shaped hole penetrating the hill at its top. Hence the name Moon Hill. A secure 40 minutes hiking on marble stairs will bring you under the impressive 50 meters high arch. From there the view is already amazing but if you want a spectacular 360 degree panorama you can climb a small path to the top of the limestone rock. At 380 meters high you will see all the surrounding YuLong River Valley at once: paddy fields, karst peaks, the Big Banyan and the MoonHill Village, a view of scenery that has inspired Chinese artists and poets for centuries.
